 Blue Mule Garage is a family-run automotive shop that established its self in Bastrop, Texas, in 2005. The Bluemel family originally came from El Paso, Texas, where the business was first created. The company consists of Eric Bluemel, owner; our best friend, James Maus Master mechanic and shop Manager;  John Knott Master Mechanic, James Hunt Mechanic, and Jack Brister Assistant Mechanic and Eric's wife, Michele Bluemel (also a mechanic). Michele is also operating as the receptionist, parts runner, bookkeeper, third set of hands, creator of the company's first website, and social media manager,.And now our youngest daughter Jordan Bluemel, learning to fill her mom's shoes to help with the day to day operations!

 Starting out as a home-taught auto mechanic with his father, Eric worked on hot rods, muscle cars, off-road trucks, and VW Baja Bugs. After offering neighbors and friends standard car maintenance services such as oil changes and brake installations, Blue Mule Garage transitioned to a full-time/full-service maintenance mechanic  shop over time.  We are already certified in many auto mechanic specialty areas, and we are growing fast!
